I'm surfing my fall decor board on Pinterest and getting excited! Remember LAST fall??? I know I do 😅 - we had NO money trying to juggle two house payments and scrounging around for free decor ideas + of course the weirdness of feeling like my new home purchased on August 30th was not my house still. We ended up selling our previous home on December 22nd, so the whole fall & Christmas season was full of uncertainty and every penny spent had a hint of guilt attached to it.
Anyways I was really inspired by my sister's Facebook post yesterday. She said "Today will be a good day!" And you could tell it was firmly written in FAITH. A few hours after that she posted pictures of a bike ride with her 5 young children where they picked blackberries & had a picnic. I KNOW it wasn't easy and she probably had those moments of thinking WHY am I even doing this when they just complain! Ha! But when I looked at her pictures all I saw was a Norman Rockwell kind of era for her. A time when her kids are selfish and bored and all that yeah sure, but it's in her power to make it a magic childhood for them. So cool.
I'm excited to make my home cozy with candles and twinkly lights and yes get a break during the day but then face the homecoming of seven school children refreshed and renewed and have every day be a good day for THEM. Happy days ahead...by choice!
Now...just to get through the upcoming 12 days in a row of summer camp...😀😏
