Come check out the final reveal pictures of my master bedroom makeover from ugly 90's to Shabby French Chic Paris over on my decor blog!
Welcome to a little glimpse into my world! I love my job of being a Mommy to eight blessings ages 14 & under who are soooo precious. And lots of fun! My youngest is now almost 2 years old, and it is my goal each day to exercise & eat as healthy as possible so I can feel alive and have FUN with my children! Join me in my journey to become more like the Proverbs 31 woman, and my celebration of this wonderful life God has given me, one day at a time!

Being overwhelmed and back to school expectations
Do you ever get butterflies just thinking of jobs to tackle and how NICE something will look and how it will lift your spirits every time you see it? And then this comes up and that chore needs to be finished and the washer needs loaded and oh, shoot, the rolls need to be made now to be done in time for dinner.
Let me just unload the dishwasher real quick and clean the counters and wow, the kitchen looks nice and clean but the floors, ugh. I'll just wash them real quick while the littles are napping.
...At the end of the day as I'm putting the kids to bed in their super messy room yet again...realizing I wanted to get so much done today and I DID do a lot, holy cow, I was working all.day. long! The house needs tidying up again and the big jobs I keep wanting to tackle just don't have time in my day.
That was me last night, I just broke down and cried. My body was physically weary from being on my feet all day (I did go big grocery shopping at Costco, see picture, and do ALL the laundry but those things are more like treading water, not actually proactively creating clean from messy.)
Anyways after my cry I felt better. :) My good friend Yelena, mom to 4, told me she always treats September like as if she just had a new baby. Survival mode, only the basics get done. I have SO many hopes and desires for everything I can do this year while they're in school and I am not hugely pregnant like I was last year!
Organizing my pantry complete with nice labeled containers, cleaning out the garage and making a little play area maybe. Lots of plans but hmmm I suppose for now, probably good to get a good schedule down and the household running as smoothly as possible and THEN focus on the extras.
Like my happy towels? We were down to 4 gnarly ugly scratchy kitchen towels that were rotated not often enough. My pack of 10 cost me $11.99 at Costco and hopefully can be rotated much more often since we have so many. Plus, they're perfect for fall!
